Karen McDermott is a Member of the Firm. She is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in New Jersey and New York and has been practicing public accounting for over 21 years.
Karen services clients in the real estate, non-profit, manufacturing and distribution industries. She has provided these companies and their owners with accounting and tax services. She specializes in services for family and closely held businesses.
Karen has provided attest for clients in the healthcare sector, personal taxation and recipients of the Department of Housing and Urban Development Section 202 assisted loan program. She is a board member of Advance Housing, Inc., the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Karen has lectured on “Pay It Forward” career presentations to New Jersey high school students on behalf of the NJSPCA. She has also served as an adjunct professor at New York University’s School of Continuing Professional Studies teaching “Principles of Accounting and Taxation of Real Estate”. Karen is a graduate of Rutgers University with a Bachelors of Science in Zoology and Economics and a Masters of Accountancy in Taxation from the Rutgers School of Business.
