We are pleased to announce that a new Member of the Firm, Robert A. Rabkin, has joined the Fairfield office.
Bob has extensive experience in dealing with various tax related issues and shares Smolin’s commitment to excellence. As a sole practitioner for the last 25 years in his own practice and a prior partner in an accounting firm, Bob will provide a new perspective for Smolin as we continue to grow and evolve.
Bob has expertise in income tax planning and estate and trust tax planning and compliance, and has represented clients before tax authorities. Bob has experience in fiduciary accounting, personal financial planning as well as forensic accounting, expert witness testimony, litigation support, business valuations, and settlement negotiations.
Bob is married with two children. He was an adjunct professor at Fairleigh Dickinson University, teaching Advanced Accounting for two years. He is a member of AICPA of New Jersey and New York States. He is an officer and trustee of various non-profit organizations and his synagogue. Bob attended Rutgers University where he earned his BA in Business and Economics, then his MBA in Public Accounting.
