John Szczomak is a Member of the Firm. He is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in New Jersey, and has been practicing public accounting for more than 23 years.
John services clients in the healthcare, distribution, real estate, retail, and wholesale industries. He has provided these companies and their owners with individual and business tax planning, retirement and professional services support.
John is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants. Currently, John is Treasurer of the NJSCPA. He has served on the NJSCPA Board of Trustees as a trustee and Vice President. He is a member of the NJSCPA Committee Operations and Professional Conduct committees, Cooperation with Bankers and Health Care interest groups, Financial Services Group Leader and is a NJ-CPA-PAC trustee.
John serves on Smolin Lupin’s BDO Alliance, Client Evaluation and Risk Assessment, Client-Staff Scheduling, Human Resources and Strategic Planning Committees.
John is dedicated to serving the community. He is a member and treasurer of the local Passaic Valley Elks chapter as well as the New Jersey State Elks Association, is on the Board of Directors of the Fighting Children’s Cancer Foundation and Chair of St. Bonaventure Roman Catholic Church’s Finance Committee. John is also the past Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Passaic County Elks Cerebral Palsy Treatment Center.
John is a graduate of William Paterson University with a Bachelors of Science in Accounting. He practices out of our Fairfield, New Jersey office and resides in Paterson, New Jersey.
